Here’s the thing; things happen. The world isn’t supposed to be all great and kind to us. We haven’t always been kind and great to it — actually, if you balance it out, the world is generous to us far more than we’re generous to it. As a person that understands this, when bad stuff happens, I never really get down. It’s nature and it’s natural for us to suffer and go through some rough times.
I purposely shared a bunch of negative situations and hard times in my recent music and writings for a few reasons: One reason being that sometimes I give off this vibe that I’m unphased by things and people start to think you’re some kind of “chosen one”. Stuff happens to me just like everyone else but I’ve learned to not let it affect my perspective. That’s all I’m trying to show. You win, you lose, then you make adjustments and start winning again. The ultimate goal is to have a Championship at the end of the season and the season doesn’t end until we die.
Second reason is that I know not everyone likes me and wants me to do good. Some people get off on seeing you go through it. They sit back and just love it. I like to satisfy those people and show them the misery that they lust for. It’s a very quick and effective way of finding out who really is in your corner. Not saying everyone should help you or reach out to you; that’s unrealistic to expect that. Some people actually do “help” and “reach out” only so they can get a front row view to your misery. You know what we do to them? We let them get really really really close, let them think it’s over for us, then we look up and smile. Works everytime.
