I did mine back in 2006 and it was an eye opening experience for me. It was like the whole city was like an all black, nicer, cleaner, warmer, NorthWest/Nouthwest washington dc. To this day I still want to move there. Everyone is working....working together....most are happy. Not much hate. But check this.....you thought 9 hours was long...try 13 to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida....alone. Stopped twice 4 gas. I did that one back in '05. Best driving experience ever. But I would NEVER do it again. I'm glad I did it though.
